NEtherlands Telugu Association is a non profit organization established in 1998. We are thankful to all our immence member base in the Netherlands who have continuously contributed and united for all causes and occations.
Telugu is a language which is spoken in "Trilingadesa"- the country of three lingas marked by Kaleswara, Srisaila and Bhimeswara in ancient times. The area has since then expanded to the whole of Andhra Pradesh where it is the official language, and also significant minorities in the states of Chattisgarh, Karnataka,Maharashtra,Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Yanam. Telugu is one of the four classical languages of india and is ranked 3rd by the number of native speakers in India (74Million) and is 13th in the whole world of most spoken languages.

NETA (NEtherlands Telugu Association) was established looking to serve the telugu people in the Netherlands and bridging the gap between the local communities both Asian and European and serves as a "varadhi" (bridge) between them. As a vaaradhi, NETA aims to provide help to telugu people right from the time they enter the Netherlands, organizes events and festivals for people to feel at homeland, help them in situations needed,raise funds for causes,Provide help to the local authorities and organizations who are interested in Telugu culture and people, bringing awareness among european communities about the rich traditions,culture and capabilities of Telugu and its people.
